Comcast announced today that artist Sam Kirk has created a special reusable Chicago-themed bag for the company. The bag will be available at the Xfinity booth at community events Comcast is sponsoring and participating in in the city and suburbs this summer.
Kirk is a well-known Chicago lesbian artist whose mission is "to create artwork that celebrates people and inspires pride and recognition for under represented communities."
"Comcast has nearly 7,000 employees in the Chicago region, and together we serve millions of customers here, so in many ways we're a local company," said Matthew Summy, Comcast's regional vice president of External Affairs. "We partnered on the bag, because we wanted to celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of the Chicago area communities where we live and work. Sam's work aptly conveys that perspective."
Comcast will give the bags away at these and other events this summer ( events are in Chicago unless otherwise stated ). The bag will be available while supplies last.
