Los Angeles singer/songwriter Sean Wiggins returns to Chicago to present her newest CD release, Next Time Around. To kick off her Midwest return, Wiggins' Official CD Release Party will take place at Girlbar, 2625 N. Halsted, Thursday, Nov. 15. Wiggins, along with harmonica player and Chicago native, Linda Moss will take to the mic at 10 p.m. Wiggins and Moss will play Kaz Bar at the House of Blues, 333 N. Dearborn, Nov. 18 with guest percussionist Janet from the band 1/2 Mad Poet. Wiggins can be heard on the Internet and radio stations as well as on an upcoming episode of MTV's Undressed. Tickets to the Kate Clinton Comedy Benefit for the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network of Chicago are on sale now. This will be a hilarious comedy show starring Kate Clinton, currently on her 20th anniversary tour. The event will be hosted by Vickie Shaw with special appearance by C.C. Carter, a live auction with great prizes, plus Pat McCombs & Paula Gee, Javier Barajas & Kasey Reese and more. The show is Saturday, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m. at the Chicago Theatre, downtown Chicago on State Street. Tickets start at $17.50 and move on up from there to a $200 VIP reception price.
