The church defines itself as "a radically organic faith community where: love is a blessing; diversity a gift; worship a celebration; and life a journey". In that spirit, aChurch4Me MCC has weathered and thrived through a number of significant changes in the past year. In the spring, prompted by growth and a commitment the wider community, the congregation relocated to The National Pastime Theater in the city's Buena Park neighborhood. Summer saw the church's founding pastor, Rev. Kevin Downer announce that he would be leaving to serve another MCC church in Minneapolis. Following Rev. Referring to the church's latest change of venue, Rev. Brown reminded the congregation of the Israelites' journey to the promised land stating, "we now have not just one, but a host of 'Joshuas' to move forward into the place of promise for ministry to fulfill our call in building a new type of spiritual community, our presence for one another, and the people of Chicago."

Watch for future announcements about these, In the meantime, aChurch4Me MCC will continue to meet for worship every Sunday at 11AM at Second Stage Theater and all are welcome to attend. |
