The 2003 Dyke March Chicago will take place Saturday, June 28, in Andersonville. The March will start at 2 p.m. on the corner of
Foster and Ashland, heading north on Clark Street to Bryn Mawr, where the march will conclude. Directly following the March will be a
rally at the beach with local performers and artists. There will be a flatbed truck available during the march to enable people of all
abilities and ages to participate.
'The purpose of Dyke March is to highlight lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered visibility in Chicago,' said Jolene Kopsa,
member of the organizing committee. 'We invite all women-loving women and their allies to participate in Dyke March to showcase
the depth and breadth of our community. Through marching as a collective, we hope to create solidarity by celebrating our differences
and fighting against injustice.'
