[New York, N.Y.] SAGE, the world's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT elders, has welcomed Anthony Emeka Harbour and Denise Foy to its national Board of Directors. Harbour and Foy bring crucial expertise and skills to SAGE, as well as a passion and desire to serve the larger LGBT community.

"SAGE is honored to welcome Anthony and Denise to the SAGE board, each of whom brings a long history of community involvement and dedication to making an impact on LGBT issues," said SAGE CEO Michael Adams. "All of us at SAGE look forward to learning from them as we drive our mission forward."

Anthony Emeka Harbour ( Los Angeles, CA ) is an experienced brand strategist and entrepreneur. Most recently, he founded a start-up, the Baldwin Gentlemen, a social club for gay men of color in Los Angeles.

While Harbour was in business school at the University of Toronto, he established the Letters, an LGBTQ+ club for students and allies. He consequently helped develop a partnership with Reaching Out MBA, the global association for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer MBA students and alumni. Reach Out MBA honored Harbour for his contributions to the LGBT community by naming him as a 2016 MBA to Watch and by awarding him the distinguished Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award.

Prior to earning his MBA, Harbour worked as a consultant with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, was a fellow with the Coro Center for Civic Leadership, and worked as a strategist with various nonprofits in Washington, D.C. A Los Angeles native, Harbour earned his M.B.A. at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, and his B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley.

"I am incredibly humbled to be selected as a member of SAGE's board of directors," said Harbour. "I am excited to leverage my experience to help improve the lives and legacies of LGBTQ+ elders. It is an honor to be part of this invaluable effort."

Denise Foy ( Chicago, IL ) is the vice president of business operations for the Health Solutions Group at the American Medical Association. In addition to her high-profile healthcare experience, Foy has also held senior leadership roles in such diverse fields as recruitment software, wholesale, and retail food service. She has extensive experience in operations, finance, sales, marketing, and strategic planning.

Foy has a long history of community involvement, particularly with Chicago's Center on Halsted ( formerly known as Horizons Community Services ), the Midwest's largest LGBTQ social-service agency. For over 15 years, she served on the board of directors of this advocacy, support, and educational organization. She served on the Capital Campaign Committee helping to raise over $30 million to fund the building of the Center on Halsted Community Center. Recently, she received the Center's highest recognition and was awarded their Human First Award. She is a founding member of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center and is also a founding member and co-chair of the LGBT Community Fund at the Chicago Community Trust.

"I'm sincerely honored to serve on the national board for SAGE," said Foy. "LGBT elders deserve a voice and place at the table in every community across the country. I look forward to helping SAGE increase its visibility and impact in the Midwest and nationally."
