Traffic Stops Where Love Begins ( TSWLB ) in raising awareness about modern-day slavery and putting an end to human trafficking at an event Thursday, Oct. 18.
TSWLB's upcoming fundraiser, What Do You Bring To This World, is a photography exhibit by Gloria Araya. This exhibit will highlight 20 extraordinary women from the Chicago area whose lives and work are transforming their communities.
The event is Oct. 18, 6-9 p.m. at WeWork, 20 W. Kinzie, 17th Floor, Chicago. There will be cocktails hors d'doeuvres, silent and live auction and three singing performances. There will also be a keynote speech by international abolitionist leader Ruchira Gupta, plus a reading from survivor and musical artist Jade Maze from her recently published memoir, Walk Until Sunrise. Closing remarks will be by Gloria Araya, founder, executive and artistic director of TSWLB.
