The LGBT Community Fund, an initiative of The Chicago Community Trust, will hold a bilingual discussion forum and presentation of the Chicago LGBT Community Needs Assessment at the National Museum of Mexican Art, 1852 W. 19th St., at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2.
The event is the second in a series of several data presentations throughout various Chicagoland neighborhoods, and the first to be conducted bilingually (English/Spanish). Needs assessment data was initially released to the public in a press briefing at Howard Brown Health Center June 27.
The evening will include remarks from representatives of The Chicago Community Trust and Southwest Youth Collaborative, followed by a presentation of the data and a question-and-answer period with Mary Morten of Morten Group and Dr. Keisha Farmer-Smith, principal investigator. Prue Beidler, co-chair of The LGBT Community Fund, will moderate.
