Historic gay prom at CSU May 8

Chicago State University's gay-straight alliance, H.E.R.O. ( Helping To Educate Regarding Orientation ) , is putting on a party that has never been hosted in that school's history—a prom for the LGBT community and its allies.

The event will take place Saturday, May 8, in the rotunda of the Cordell Reed Student Union, 9501 S. King. The event begins at 7 p.m. and will last until 11 p.m.

Formal attire is appreciated but not required. The cost for individuals is $5-$7, and $10 for couples. E-mail hero.csu@gmail.com or call 708-253-8166.
