Pride Anthems Concert 6:00pm
Celebrate Pride Month with a journey through the past 50 years of Pride anthems. From Donna Summer and Queen to George Michael, Erasure, Madonna, Lady Gaga and much more, these essential songs take you from disco to the present day. PRIDE ANTHEMS is a show for all ages to come together in song and celebration of where the LGBTQ+ community has come from and how far it has come since Stonewall. Featured performers include Natalie Joy Johnson, recently seen as Suzy Solidor at LaJolla Playhouse in the west coast premiere of "Lempicka" and as Pat in "Kinky Boots" (Broadway); Kevin Smith Kirkwood most recently appeared onstage in the Off-Broadway revival of "Kinky Boots" as the Referee Angel and as Victor in the Fulton Theater's production of "Smokey Joe's Cafe;" and Jon-Michael Reese is an award-winning queer performer based in Brooklyn last seen in the Tony Award winning "A Strange Loop." Music director is Brian J. Nash an award-winning pianist, singer, musical director, orchestrator, and producer who has been the Music Director of many off-Broadway and regional musicals. This event is one of the many events presented in conjunction with this summer's multi-faceted WARHOL exhibition featuring "Andy Warhol Portfolios: A Life in Pop | Works from the Bank of America Collection" June 3 - Sept. 10.
