The Chicago Mayoral Forum 8:00pm
Hosted by leading Black and Brown LGBTQ+ organizations to provide candidates with an opportunity to discuss with LGBTQ+ communities how they will ensure equity and improve the lives of Black and Brown LGBTQ+ Chicagoans. Both Commissioner Brandon Johnson and Paul Vallas have been invited. Among the top issues for LGBTQ+ communities are access to affordable housing, affirming and culturally appropriate health care, economic inequality, and safety. The next mayor of Chicago has an opportunity to be a national leader in advancing protections and inclusion for LGBTQ+ residents. Sponsoring organizations include Affinity, Association of Latinos/as/xs Motivating Action, Brave Space Alliance, Chicago Black Gay Men's Caucus, Life is Work, and TaskForce Prevention & Community Services.
