Hunters officially closed on September 22nd 2013 and became Phoenix Bar also a gay male bar run by Progress bar owner, Robert Brumbaugh.

Phoenix Bar: was a premier gay bar & nightclub in the suburbs, which opened in October 2013 with a whole new look and a whole new attitude. They were excited about many of the changes made to 1932 E. Higgins Rd in Elk Grove Village (Just minutes from Chicago and O'hare). Phoenix Bar closed 6 years later and was bought by the city of Elk Grove Village in 2020, which became a 1.5-acre grass lot primed for future development by Elk Grove Village.
