Out actor Neil Patrick Harris ( who plays womanizer Barney on the TV show How I Met Your Mother ) and his partner, David Burtka, are expecting twins, MTV.com reported. On Aug. 14, Harris went on Twitter with the news: "So, get this: David and I are expecting twins this fall. We're super excited/nervous/thrilled. Hoping the press can respect our privacy..." According to E! Online, a surrogate will deliver the twins this October. Harris recently directed a production of Rent in Los Angeles that included former Dancing with the Stars contestant Nicole Scherzinger.

Speaking of Harris, he won two Emmys at the Aug. 21 creative arts event, which precedes the big primetime show, according to an Advocate.com item. Harris won for his work as host of the Tony Awards and for his guest role on the series Glee. Also winning that night was Betty White for her stint as guest host of Saturday Night Live. The main Emmys event will take place Aug. 29.

Bisexual reality-TV star Tila Tequila was injured at a concert called Gathering of Juggalos, held in Hardin County, Ill., according to E! Online. Tequila allegedly received facial cuts and bruises after concert attendees reportedly threw bottles and rocks at her while she was on stage—and the people tossed the missiles harder after Tequila bared her breasts. Her manager said, "Tila has gotten medical care for the horrific attack that happened to her this weekend...." Tequila tweeted that her attorney is after the concert organizers.

It has been revealed: Trevor Donovan's character, Teddy, will come out of the closet on the next season of 90210, according to Advocate.com . Donovan told JustJared, "It was cool when they came to me with it, I was honored, flattered that they thought I could take on something like this and handle it in the way it's being written, and what we shot so far is done very, very smart, very intelligent." Broadway actor Kyle Riabko will play Donovan's love interest.

As punishment for making her controversial video for the song "Window Seat," singer Erykah Badu must pay $500 and serve six months probation, according to CNN.com . While filming in Dallas, Texas, Badu strolled naked and then, after a gunshot rang out, purposely fell near where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Badu said that the video was "shot guerrilla style" without a crew March 17.

Out composer Stephen Sondheim is not talking about The Miraculous Year, the upcoming HBO series that is reportedly based on his life, Advocate.com has noted. Norbert Leo Butz, who has won a Tony Award, will star as openly gay composer Terry Segal, who scales back his life after suffering a heart attack—which Sondheim has also had. Among the other members of the cast are Patti LuPone, Susan Sarandon and Frank Langella. An HBO spokesperson said that any similarities are coincidental.

Clothing company L.A. Triumph is suing superstar Madonna over the singer's Material Girl juniors line, which she recently launched with her daughter, Lourdes, according to EW.com . Triumph claims that it has been selling a "Material Girl" line for more than a decade, and wants Madonna to stop using the name and give it any profit she has made from her line.

Warner Bros., the company behind the Harry Potter movie series, has sued a Swiss condom manufacturer over the European company's Harry Popper items, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The studio lawsuit states that the condoms—with a cartoon on the label that features a condom wearing glasses and wielding a wand—bears a clear resemblance to the wizard. However, a lawyer for the Swiss company said that the product, launched in 2006, "has nothing to do with Harry Potter."

Actress Emma Thompson, promoting her movie Nanny McPhee Returns, jokingly said on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson that gays are stoned on the Isle of Wight—and is being criticized for it, according to the UK Telegraph. Ferguson was describing Catalina Island and compared it to the isle, to which Thompson replied, "Oh, so they stone homosexuals there? Nice." Island Council Leader David Pugh said, "It's a great shame that someone with her profile should make such ridiculous claims. Presumably Emma Thompson made these comments to get some laughs on the chat show." Wight is England's largest island, located in the English Channel.

Singer Katy Perry told The Advocate that she prefers gay bars, according to Celebuzz.com . Perry said, "I like gay bars better than straight bars because you don't feel like you have to trade a blow job for a drink; you just have to smile and do a twirl." Perry is currently riding high on the charts with her album, Teenage Dream, as well as the title song and the single "California Gurls."

Jesse Tyler Ferguson—one half of the gay couple on the TV show Modern Family—has taken part in a video for the group Fight Back NY in which he says he wants to marry actor Alec Baldwin but can't because New York doesn't allow same-sex marriage, according to On Top Magazine. In the video, Ferguson ( who is out in real life ) says, "With your support of Fight Back New York, he and I can be married here in New York by this time next year." Fight Back NY is working to get rid of state senators who voted against a marriage-equality measure last year.

Singer Ricky Martin is releasing a memoir that will detail his childhood, his time in the boy band Menudo and his sexuality, according to Hollyscoop.com . Martin—who also discusses fatherhood in the book, Me—said, "Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And this is something worth celebrating."

Bisexual True Blood star Anna Paquin has gotten hitched to her co-star fiance, Stephen Moyer, according to People.com . Guests at the Aug. 21 wedding included co-stars Ryan Kwanten and Rutina Wesley as well as creator Alan Ball and actor Elijah Wood. Paquin, 28, said, "It's great to have the freedom to enjoy your work and not feel like you're leaving your other life behind."

Elisabeth Hasselbeck—who often represents the conservative perspective of the ladies on The View—has expressed her support of same-sex marriage, according to a SheWired.com item. Hasselbeck told Fancast magazine, "I actually support gay marriage. I think the gay-marriage thing would definitely surprise people. I mean, for some people, it will surprise them to the point that they won't want to hear it. 'No, that can't be, I really want to have this sort of idea of her in my head,' so I sort of rain on their parade there."

Gay.com has teamed with film/TV producer Larry Kennar ( The L Word, Barbershop, 50 First Dates ) ; designer and reality-TV veteran Jack Mackenroth ( Project Runway: Season 4 ) ; and award-winning producer/director John Rutherford ( eXposed ) to air the original web series The Queens of Drag: NYC, according to a press release. The eight-episode series, which explores the New York drag scene, debuts exclusively on Gay.com Sept. 8. Among the cast members are Lady Bunny, Hedda Lettuce, Peppermint and Dallas DuBois.

Openly gay actor Charlie David ( half of the lead couple on the LGBT series Dante's Cove ) has released Shadowlands, a collection of short stories that explores gay sexuality, according to a press release. Instinct Magazine's Michael Wood said of the book, "The writing here is both sexy and provocative in ways you might not expect, and it does what all good writing does: it makes you think--often outside of your comfort zone." Shadowlands is available on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and community bookstores.

Kayla, a 19-year-old Illinois lesbian who works as a Hooters waitress, is on the upcoming season of America's Next Top Model, according to SheWired.com . Kayla, who is recovering from an injury to her neck, has played soccer for almost a decade and has a live-in girlfriend. She told Us Magazine, "Being the openly gay girl in the house, I was afraid of how the others would receive me." The new season of "Model" starts Sept. 8.

During an appearance on NBC's Today Show Aug. 24, actor Christopher Gorham confused host Hoda Kotb and guest host Martina McBride concerning a photo he and his family took for the "No H8" campaign, which is against California's Proposition 8, according to Advocate.com . Kotb asked why the family had their mouths covered with tape—and Gorham explained that it was for the pro-same-sex-marriage campaign. Gorham, who has been on the TV shows Popular and Ugly Betty, was promoting his newest series, Covert Affairs.

Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson has said that an episode next season will deal with his character's fear of PDAs ( public displays of affection ) , according to an Advocate.com item. Ferguson said, "Don't expect a Gone With the Wind type of thing happening, I know the fans would like that. We're doing an episode about Mitchell's fear of PDA, so it's not the kiss episode per se, but yeah. It's going to be a really poignant, beautiful thing but less of an ordeal than people think it is."

Tony Award winner Patti LuPone will co-star with Justin Guarini, the runner-up to Kelly Clarkson in American Idol's first season, in his Broadway debut in the musical adaptation of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, according to Broadway World. The musical is based on Pedro Almodovar's 1988 movie about a group of emotional women in Spain. Other cast members will include Brian Stokes Mitchell and Laura Benanti.
