Killer Joe, Profiles Theatre at Royal George Theatre Center, through July 18. Its author won a Pulitzer three plays after writing it, and this production took the top Jeff award last weekwe just can't get enough of those murdering, trailer-dwelling lowlifes, can we? MSB
Oh, Boy!, City Lit Theatre, through June 27. Moving operetta towards modern musical comedy, this 1917 rarity wraps a Jerome Kern score ( "Till the Clouds Roll By" ) around a trivial but solid story. A pleasant summer tonic if you enjoy your tuners old-fashioned. JA
