A Lakeview church was vandalized Aug. 24 by two women who appeared to be upset by its sign backing reproductive rights, Block Club Chicago reported.

Second Unitarian Church of Chicago, 656 W. Barry Ave., put up the sign when Roe v. Wade was overturned in June, said the Rev. Jason Lydon, the church's pastor. It read, "We support abortion on demand without apology."

The women started throwing rocks at the building, breaking a stained-glass window.

A neighbor caught the incident on video, which shows one of the women saying, "I sent a message. You don't f—ing put s— like that out there. Get the f— out of here."

The church will hold a standout in support of abortion rights at noon on Sunday, Sept. 4, Lydon said.

On its website, the church says it seeks "to create a vibrant, inclusive faith community." Its Aug. 28 service is titled "Samplings of Four Spiritual Practices Through Anti-Racism Work, Poetry, Prayer, and Art."
