On Friday, September 26, Mary's Attic presents a staged reading of a new comedy by cult novelist Robert Rodi ( Fag Hag, Bitch Goddess ) and Clio winner Jack Badofsky. "The Gay Divorce 2.0" charts the acrimonious battle between husbands Mel Pinsky ( a helicopter traffic reporter ) and Cody Gillenwater ( a former pro baseball player ), urged on by bloodthirsty lawyers, uncaring parents, and so-called best friends with more than slightly suspicious motives.

The couple are played by real-life husbands David Kodeski and Edward Thomas-Herrera. The cast also includes Rachel Claff, Penny Lane, Diana Slickman and Pete Wood, as well as Rodi himself. Tickets to the 6:30 performance are $8 and include a free drink, and can be purchased at the door or through Brown Paper Tickets. Mary's Attic is located at 5400 N. Clark St. in Chicago.
